Outdoor Living at its Best

One of the biggest appeals of living in Florida is the ability to use your outdoor spaces year-round. A home’s outdoor space is an extension of the living area of a home and should be designed with comfort in mind.

This classic bungalow has the most perfect front porch! The swing is the perfect spot to curl up with a book on a lazy day. A pop of color on the rocking chair helps add a little whimsy to the porch.

We continued the outdoor living perfection in the backyard and designed a space that has room for dining al fresco as well as a spot to kick back and relax.

With any outdoor living space, selecting the appropriate materials that can withstand the elements is super important. Outdoor-rated fabrics, like Sunbrella, are a must for the upholstery. For the furniture frames, powder-coated aluminum can withstand the heat and the rain. Teak is also a beautiful choice but it’s important to note that teak does require additional maintenance if you’d like to preserve its rich wood stain. Teak also gets a rich gray weathered patina if not oiled. Outdoor furniture does require a little more maintenance and care so you can enjoy it for many years. Most manufacturers sell custom-made covers to fit the furniture so you can protect it when not in use.
